Yesterday, I took a one day bus trip up to Binghamton, New York to see the Mets double "A" farm team play. They won the game. :clap:

Get Out The Brooms -- Mets Defeat Thunder 5-4
Up until five days ago, the Trenton Thunder had given the B-Mets more problems than any other team in the Eastern League. Now, five days later, the Mets are sorry to see them off their schedule.
On a Sunday afternoon at NYSEG Stadium, the B-Mets completed a four-game sweep of the Thunder, winning their fifth game overall game in the process, by a final of 5-4. Trailing 1-0 in the third, Wayne Lydon took Trenton starter Sean Henn deep over the fence in left for a three-run homer, as the Mets took a 3-1 lead. The lead would grow to 4-1 in the fourth, as Dave Detienne hit a ground-rule double to left centerfield, scoring Chase Lambin from second. Trenton would respond with two in the sixth courtesy of back-to-back solo home runs on consecutive pitches from Mets starter Jason Scobie, pulling to within 4-3. The teams would trade single runs in the bottom of the sixth and top of the eighth before P.J. Bevis came on in the ninth to pitch a perfect inning and record his eighth save of the season.
Jason Scobie (5-3) picked up the victory, despite yielding 3 solo home runs in his six innings of work. He walked three and struck out four. Sean Henn (4-6) lost it for Trenton, allowing 4 earned runs off 7 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
The red-hot Mets will try to keep the momentum going on the road, as they begin a 6-game, 7-day road trip against the two teams chasing them in the Northern Division, Norwich and New Hampshire. The Mets and Norwich Navigators kick off a three-game series Monday night at 7:05.
