first is two blown strike three calls that leads to a walk. then bruce froemming musta forgot to wear his glasses and ruled that nomar was off the bag and then nomar threw it into the stands so a run scored. NOMAR WAS ON THE EFFING BAG CLEARLY!!

and then there was a check swing that he went over half way round and he was given credit for a ball.

And if you think Froemming is bad on the bases...With umpires who have called at least 20 games behind the plate, Bad-eye Bruce leads his league in BB percentage with a whoping .357 average. Doug Eddings is at the other end with a .286. 25 games for Eddings 115 BB's. 26 games for Bad-eye 200 BB's.

The stat you offered surprises me zero. Fat Eff Froemming is not only bad on the bases or bad at the plate, he is bad for the game and, dare I say?, simply bad for the universe. Boy,if we could only get Milt Pappas to chime in on Bruce Froemming. He's still pissed that Froemming squeezed him with 2 outs in the 9th inning in 1972,costing Pappas a perfect game against San Diego.
