MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers optioned right-hander Ben Hendrickson to Triple-A Indianapolis after Tuesday night's victory over the Chicago Cubs.
The Brewers also purchased the contract of right-hander Travis Phelps from Indianapolis.
Hendrickson was 0-5 with a 9.00 ERA in five games, including four starts for the Brewers. He was recalled on Saturday, and took the loss in relief on Sunday against Florida.
Phelps was picked named the International League pitcher of the week after going 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA in two starts, striking out 18 and walking one. He was 8-5 with a 4.46 ERA for Indianapolis.
