So uhh, it looks as if the AL East standings will look different for the first time in years seeing as how we are 8 games back of the team we are playing tonight. Toronto is playing the worst ball of the year right now, which is amazing considering how poorly it has been. Nothing has gone our way the past few games, but time to start up a new series with Baltimore and finally get the 50th win.

Josh Towers (8-4, 4.46) vs. Dave Borkowski (3-3, 3.80) I dont know a lot about Borkowski but his stats look pretty good. Towers is the Jays only hot pitcher right now and they'll look for him to snap out of this streak

Dave Bush (1-3, 3.59) vs. Dan Cabrera (9-5, 4.14) Bush has looked pretty good in his short stint although he has been inconsistent. Cabrera is another Oriole pitcher who i dont know a lot about but he also has some pretty good stats

Justin Miller (1-2, 4.70) vs. Erik Bedard (5-7, 4.33) Uggh, I just cant trust Miller right now, he's in the same boat that Towers was in at the start of the season, Bedard is a good young Canuck, i'd take him here.

After this we head home to play Boston. Like I said in the other thread I'm finally heading back to Sky Dome to see a Jays game during the Boston series, I dont know which one yet but I'm hoping its Monday since its Lilly and Pedro. Then again Pedro will probably kill us so now I'm actually not too sure lol.

Towers did a solid job tonight, but was pulled after 5 1/3 despite the fact he had given up just 1 run and just threw 72 pitches. At least Frederick got the outs. Anyways, the game is still on...

Jays ended up taking it in a blowout 14-4, Woodward's first homerun of the season was a grand slam that really ended the game. Eric Hinske also had a 3 run homerun, and like I said before, Towers was effective. But Frederick did end up sucking afterwards.

Toronto takes game 2 as well 10-4. Carlos Delgado hit his twentieth homer, and David Bush had a quality start pitching innings and giving up 3 runs.

We finally picked up a sweep as game 3 was won 8-5. Despite a scary ninth Jason Frasor was able to stop Jay Gibbons on the final out with a nice catch by Jay Gibbons. Eric Hinske and Vernon Wells homered for us.
