Royals announce 2002 promotions schedule

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Royals announced their promotions schedule for the 2002 season on Thursday. The club will have 39 games at Kauffman Stadium that feature a giveaway or promotion, including the first-ever Royals Bobblehead Night.
Individual tickets for all 2002 Royals home games go on sale Saturday, March 2 at 9 a.m. Highlights of the Royals 2002 promotional schedule include:
The first-ever Royals Bobblehead Night featuring Carlos Beltran on Saturday, May 11 vs. Cleveland.
Opening Day Magnetic Schedules courtesy of FOX Sports Net for all fans on Monday, April 1 vs. Minnesota.
New Royals Black Cap Night courtesy of FOX Sports Net (first 25,000 fans) is Saturday, April 27 vs. Baltimore.
Sluggerrr Bobblehead Day courtesy of Pepsi-Cola (first 10,000 kids 14 & under) is Sunday, June 30 vs. San Diego.

Fans have several options when purchasing tickets this season, as they can be purchased at Kauffman Stadium, by phone through the Royals Call Center, through the Royals official website, as well as at the 20 metro area Hy-Vee stores. This marks the first time in club history that every seat in the stadium can be purchased in advance.
The Kauffman Stadium Advance Ticket Windows will open Saturday, March 2 at 9 a.m. Gates to the Truman Sports Complex will open at 6 a.m. with coffee and donuts served to fans at 8 a.m.
In the Greater Kansas City area, fans can purchase tickets by calling the Royals Ticket Center at 816-504-4040. Fans outside Kansas City can call 1-800-6ROYALS (1-800-676-9257). Phone-line hours are Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. On Sunday, fans may order by phone between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.. The Royals website will allow visitors to view a seating chart and select tickets for the section and game desired.
The Royals will also accept mail order forms prior to March 1 which will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be mailed the week of March 4. If the requested seating area is not available, fans will be assigned the next-best available seating area. Mail order forms will be available at the metro area Hy-Vee stores beginning Friday and are also available on the Royals website.
Ticket prices for the 2001 season are: Hy-Vee View Level ($5), View Level Infield ($10), Outfield Plaza ($10), View Box ($12), Field Plaza ($16), Dugout Plaza ($18), Field Box ($18), Dugout Box ($21) and Club Box ($22). Season tickets are discounted $2 per ticket for all $10-$22 tickets. Season-ticket packages are still available, including mini packages as low as $100.
