C'mon Ray! You're blaming the game on Macias even though your entire offense never showed up until the 8th inning and then y'all got lucky facing Lidge on one of his rare off nights?!?!?!?!

Blame it on Duh-sty for not having his best defense at 3B in the late innings. Blame it on Aramis for having such a fat ass he has to be pinch run for in the first place by Macias. Blame it on Sadie Hawkins for not exactly fooling Astros hitters in the 9th. But you can't blame that entire loss and wish bad things on Macias for one little play at the end.

To be honest with you, that was one of the most entertaining games I've watched this whole season. I'm sure part of that is my Astros came back to win it after blowing the lead to begin with. Makes for a very crucial contest today between the two, though I'm seriously not holding out much hope for the Bayou City Boys of Summer.

actually, it is because aramis cant run, as his groin is still bothering him.

and its scary when you call aramis our best defensive 3b.

i'm sick of blaming it on our bullpen, so i want to blame it on someone else.

Well ok, I can understand that, been in the same position myself before :D

I wasn't aware that Aramis was still feeling the effects of an injury. If Bill Worrell is on the telecast, as he was last night, I hit the mute button faster than the Wood Brothers can change a flat in the Daytona pits. They might have mentioned him being a bit gimpy, but I was listening to some John Hiatt in the background instead at that point!

I didn't really say that Aramis was your best defensive 3B, just that Duh-sty didn't have his best defense in late in the game. Can't believe that Macias, whether Aramis is slightly injured or not, is any better than Ramirez fielding the hot corner. You see them more than me, so I'll defer to your opinion on that.

well, ramon martinez is a better 3b than macias, but he had to play shortstop due to nomar resting his achilles. if nomar was playing, martinez woulda been shifted to 3b and ramirez pulled. and macias woulda been playing 2nd (if walker or grudz didnt stay in the game).

the only non injured player in the infield is derrek lee. grudzielanek has to rest his sore achilles today, and ramirez has to be careful about his gimpy groin. Thats the only reason why ramirez isnt batting in the 3rd spot: he cant run fast on that groin. and nomars achilles is still a bit sore.

but cubs management doesnt have a problem sitting sore players unlike sox management.
