Division lead shrinking at hyper speed.

Offense has a hit quota of 3 for each game.

Pitching has a run quota of 87 for each game.

We have like an incredible 9-30 record when we score less than three runs. It's absurd.

WAKE THE HELL UP YANKEES!

Last chance, and it's Posada, Olerud, and Cairo :(

really? last year at this week, I seem to remember a similar slump, loosing something like 6 out of 7, and we had the same record as last year on this date I believe. This is the reason we got such a big lead! In case we had a week like this, the lead was still substantial. We won by what... 6 games last year? We can't always have a 10 billion game lead on the red sox, everyone slumps  NO one has gone 162-0 on a season, and no one will.

You're right, Skippy. This is from an article I just read:

"...the Yankees' record is exactly the same as it was this time last year. After 123 games, New York held a 5½-game lead over Boston, eventually winning the division by six."

:D

the sad thing is that the yankees have never lost a division when they had more than 7 game lead!

I hope the lead doesn't shrink the way it did last year. I remember the last series vs. the Sox at Yankee Stadium where the Yanks almost got swept . The lead was at 3 games or something small like that...

I trusted last year's rotation more than I trust this year's. And we play Boston like 6 times at the end of September, so let's hope they re-build the lead.

Last year you had Pettite, Clemens, Mussina, Wells though.

This year its Brown, Mussina, Hernandez, Loaiza, and Leiber.

the record may be the same, but that doesnt mean a thing. you guys just lost 4 games in a span of anout 5 games to the sox, that did not happen last year

Cleveland next for us (the FIRST TIME we play them this season! ). Gotta start winning since the Sox are still facing crap teams.

If we can keep the lead at 5.5 games for two weeks we should be safe, since Boston will then go through like a week of the AL West and the Yanks will be playing the Tampas and Baltimores of the world.

Whatever happens, things sure got a lot more exciting this week http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/cwm/cwm/erm.gif. Not that I like it more exciting...

I expect Mussina to pitch better today

It's no excuse if he cannot handle the tribes!

Dont take the tribes too lightly. They can hit. They are #2 in the AL in RBI's, right behind us.
