St. Petersburg, FL (Sports Network) - Tampa's Carl Crawford, who leads the majors in stolen bases, and infielder Aubrey Huff were both out of Sunday's starting lineup against the A's with injuries.

Crawford, who has 50 stolen bases this season, bruised his right shoulder on two occasions while diving for balls in Saturday's 5-0 setback to the Athletics.

He took some batting practice on Sunday before soreness and discomfort forced him to receive treatment. In 121 games this season, the speedy outfielder was hitting .296 with 46 RBI.

Huff, who is the team leader in homers with 22 and 80 RBI, left Saturday's game because or lower back spasms. He had played in 398 straight games before the injury. Huff was batting .287 in 123 games with Tampa this season,

In other team news, the Devil Rays will call up LHP Scott Kazmir from Double-A Montgomery to make his highly anticipated major league debut Monday in Seattle. Kazmir, who was considered a gem in the Mets farm system, was acquired in a four-player deal last month the saw RHP Victor Zambrano go to New York.

Kazmir has posted a 2.50 ERA in 101 innings of work with 104 strikeouts this season in the minors. However, since the trade, Kazmir has a 1.44 ERA in four games at Montgomery.
