All relivers go through slumps. Since they only pitch an inning at a time it always seems longer than it really is. So...SLUMP. KEEP SLUMPIN FLASHY!

The innings the relievers have pitched are really catching up to them. First Mo, then Quantrill, now Gordon.

not surprising that it is catching up to gordon. the dude is SMALL. he's had problems breaking down in past years. i saw too much of that when he was in chicago. joe NEEDS to stop using gordon for a few days. I cant believe he doesnt realize that. well, maybe when gordon's arm blows out in a few more weeks he will finally realize he cant abuse him like this.

I'm not counting on Joe learning soon. He STILL hasn't realized that Quantrill can't pitch 400 innings a year :(
If he doesn't stop overusing the top three bullpen guys soon, Torre may be the demise of this year's team.
Flash looked very out of sorts against the Tribe on Wednesday night. He's been completely overused, and I'll be surprised if he can consistently pitch like he has done throughout the season into September, and the playoffs. Especially if Torre continues to use him so bloody often. Quantrill is still looking solid, but there can't be too much in the tank at this point. These guys really need a break.
I'm still alive by the way, just suffering from lack of internet access. :wave1:

Gutty performance by Flash tonight.
Oh what I'd do for the Yanks to have an old fashioned blowout :(. A blowout win of course
