i proposed this trade to a team VERY weak at the RB position. (i have portis, lewis, davis, and taylor.)
his rb's are bennett, l. suggs, and willis mcgahee. its not even clear of suggs or mcgahee will start and bennett is hurt and questionable for week one. if u were in his shoes, that would be a reasonable offer right?
i figure its very good for me to get harrison because i still have portis, lewis and when lewis is out w/ legal issues i have stephen davis. my WR are a. johnson, i. bruce, k. johnson, and on the bench i have bennet and calico. im looking for that big number 1 receiver even though i have good depth.
anyway, this proposal seems all around a good one. advice/opinions?

hmm, he countered w/ stephen davis for joe horn. id rather do the first one, but this one sounds interesting as ive heard davis's carries are going to be split... what should i expect from horn?
I figure Horn for 1000 yards rec. and 6-8 TDs
If you really want Harrison, try to offer Taylor and a WR - let him pick which one off your roster. Harrison is such an upgrade over anyone he'd take, it would be worth it.

yea i was thinking proposing something like taylor and bennet for harrison before accepting davis for horn. if he declines that, i may try taylor and a receiver of his choice but i have to think about it. if all else fails, ill accept davis for horn because i still think it gives me good value.

well he wouldnt budge w/ harrison, i ended up going w/ davis for horn. but this kid is OUT OF HIS MIND! he said that on his draft board harrison was ahead of portis! he drafted in his first 5 rounds in this order, harrison, t. owens, j. horn, leftwich, miami d, vanderjagt, b. franks, and FINALLY takes his first rb w/ bennet whos now hurt! this guy should be desperate for a RB but instead, has no logic.
he thinks that since harrison is in a contract yr his numbers will boost SIGNIFIGANTLY and that since taylor was hurt 2 years ago he WILL not might WILL get hurt this year. (played in all 32 games in the last 2 years) i hate trying to trade w/ guys like this. anyway, enough whining about that guy, i think i ended up w/ a pretty good deal, although i wanted harrison. in his situation, would u accept andre johnson and fred taylor for harrison?
There are owners like this in every league. In one of my leagues an owner took four WR in the first four rounds. You're not going to pry a WR away from someone like this very easy.
Be happy with the deal you made. Horn will help you and you got to keep A.Johnson, who I think will have a nice year.
