We've all heard the expression that a player being "a man among boys," meaning he was so outstanding that it almost seemed unfair. Its something that is rarely seen in college football these days, especially for a true freshman. Prior to Saturday night I had only seen one and that was Herschel Walker in 1980.
But Saturday night I saw Georgia Tech wide reciever Calvin Johnson fit the description. He had his way with a very good secondary and was the difference maker in a game that his team won. And without him, they would have been blown out. Remember the name because this guy is a big, physical reciever that is going to be a force for the next three years.
