OF Shawn Green has a mild case of tendinitis in his left elbow that will limit his throwing activity for the first part of spring training. "It doesn't bother me at all except when I'm throwing hard," he said. The 29-year-old Green, who hit 49 homers and drove in 125 runs last season, said he doesn't believe the problem will keep him out of any preseason games, although he speculated he might play exclusively as a designated hitter for early games in AL parks. "If the season were going on right now, I wouldn't have any problem going out there," he said. "We didn't want it to be a lingering injury all year, so we wanted to get rid of it now." ...
