EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon coach Mike Bellotti released Richie Incognito from the football program, saying the former Nebraska center failed to meet certain conditions, according to a published report.

Incognito, who withdrew from Nebraska after being suspended from the team for disciplinary problems, enrolled at Oregon last week and was on scholarship. He never practiced with the team.

Incognito, a 6-foot-3, 300-pound junior from Glendale, Ariz., was an all-Big 12 selection last year. He has one season of eligibility left.

The Cornhuskers suspended him indefinitely for what coach Bill Callahan called repeated violations of team rules.

I'm relieved by this. It's kind of scary having a guy with his background on the team. I think that that would have added to much negative press to the program. Plus, I just don't like rewarding guys with his background with a scholorship.

Thank goodness Belotti came to his senses.

Ya it is way to bad the way it is going with this kid.

To get mad that Nebraska suspended him and leaving it serves him right to get cut.
