Chicago Cubs pitcher Mark Prior told a Chicago radio station Thursday that if Sammy Sosa plans to return next spring, he needs to explain why he arrived late for the Cubs' season finale and left early, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.
"I personally feel like everybody does need an apology because that's not a team move," the Chicago Sun-Times reported Prior told WSCR-AM (670).

It was!
Let's use exclamation points at the end of every sentence!
Sammy shouldn't have done that! It was a bad move! then again I don't blame him for being upset at the way the cubs went out!

Umm.. i dont htink that one of the cubs pitchers have much room to talk. Didn't about 3/4 of their entire pitching staff bail on the team in about june?

zambrano and maddux are the only ones who stayed healthy all year.
woody and prior were still shutdown in early june.

i wasnt being exact when I said June, but from an outsiders standpoint, it sure did seem like most of the Cubs pitching staff (talking the entire staff, not just the starters) sure didnt live up to their end of the deal.

the only member of the staff i felt comfortable with the entire year was carlos. glendon rusch did everything possible.
everyone else was too damned inconsistent.

As wrong as it was for Sammy to do that, Prior still should take that up with Sosa and the team, not the media.

I was real surprised at Prior being quoted in the media. Maybe he didn't realize he was being quoted, I don't know. But this talk will NOT help the team when they all get together again in a few months. Don't know how Baker is going to deal with it. I don't envy his task or being a Cubs fan right now. That team has some serious problems.
