Poker has risen in popularity sense two years ago when money maker won the series. Is poker a bad thing for the young people that think all they want to do is get a ten grand lone becase they know they will win the whole thing?
In my opinion it's a good thing. It at least for those couple of hours that they play, they are off the streets. Poker brings people closer, and creates a weekly event that is healthy. However people need to realize how hard it is to win in pro poker. I also think that since there are so many people wanting to play on the tour now, that the WSP should place a limit of how many people can play in the tournament. Or have a season of people and have a playoff type system to where there is a limited number that can be in the main event.

I find the televised event more boring than watching crickets mate. And though I enjoy a good nickel-dime-quarter game amongst friends every now and then, I would never say sitting around a poker table for 5-6 hours was necessarily healthy.
