Very sad news. I got home before and put on the TV and they had breaking news that he passed away. I was shocked! What a great human being. He never gave up and kept saying that he would walk again one day.

RIP Superman :(

BEDFORD, N.Y. - Christopher Reeve, the star of the "Superman" movies whose near-fatal riding accident nine years ago turned him into a worldwide advocate for spinal cord research, died Sunday of heart failure, his publicist said. He was 52.

Reeve fell into a coma Saturday after going into cardiac arrest while at his New York home, his publicist, Wesley Combs told The Associated Press by phone from Washington, D.C., on Sunday night. His family was at his side at the time of death.

Very upsetting. He had made such improvements in the past year or two. :rip:


My favorite role of his was Deathtrap. I've seen that movie so many times!! :lust:

I heard this when I got up this morning. Very sad. He was a fighter, and I fully expected to see him back on his feet one day. This is a very sad day indeed.

Damn, I was just watching Superman the other day on the Movie Network. RIP Superman.

awww this makes me so sad :crying2: i was almost paralyzed when i was 19 and had major back surgery and had to learn to walk again..... i really believed Christopher Reeve would also.....

i'm so sad..... :crying2:

Im so sorry to hear this he went out of his way everytime to do something amazing.. He truely is a REAL warrior and no one can be curagous as him...
