:sigh: No one comes back from 0-2. Our offense choked. I guess it's not meant to be in my lifetime. :notme:
Eh, at least the trolls are gone. :smokin:
I agree.....tonite, they made Lieber look like he was god. This offense is all hype. Im tired. :sigh:

it aint over till the fat mo'fo sings, but all i have to say is this...for those of you who wanted the yankees to win so we could get "revenge" there ya go...you got a VERY formidable opponent who kicked our ass the first two games...
the sox play better at fenway...they still wont sweep, but its gonna be tough to come back from this.

the most telling stat: sox bats are 1 for 37 in innings 1-6 so far this series. also only one walk in that time for a total OBP of .053
cant win if the bats go cold. :(

Hey, at least Pedro showed up yesterday. He pitched a good game. Too bad the offense decided to take the day off.

It is so pathetic. Every year, same shit.
Eh, I guess I'm not surprised. Last year kinda numbed me. It just doesn't hurt as much anymore. I guess deep down I knew we'd lose, and was prepared.

even I have to be a little pessimistic. I was so pissed I slept in and missed my first two classes of the day.
one way to put slight positive spin on the matter: say we win 2 of 3 in boston. we go back to NY down 3-2. we dont have to win 2 at that point, we have to win ONE, Game 6. if we do that, series is tied 3-3 and its a one game playoff for the world series. just gotta go one game at a time.
ps. - we play better in the day, too bad these are all night games where the hyanks thrive. i really wish i didnt have to say this, but we look finished.... :sigh:

I'm sorry Bosox. I really feel for the young Sox fans here. Their hearts haven't hardened yet. :(
Poor Pedro. Pitched his ass off. That was probably his last start in a Bosox uniform.

I guess a Sox championship is one of those things I'll never get to experience in my life. I'll never run a four minute mile, I'll never get to fly in space, I'll never win the lottery, and I'll never experience a Sox championship. These are things I just have to accept.

At least with rooting for the Braves for about a decade, and now the Sox, I know *sorta* how to deal with the anguish, but poor Amber hasn't ever been into sports, and has never had to deal with this kind of let down. She's so devestated right now. Literally almost in tears again last night. At least she gets a night off tonight before having to watch it happen again. :sigh:

babs, how old are you? unless you're on your deathbed...which you may be considering the performance of the sox...there is still plenty of time. pedro may not come back, but we've got arroyo who has blossomed into one of the best pitchers...and hes still young...now that nomar and pedro (possibly) are gone, we will have no need for a players manager anymore, so maybe we can ditch francona and get someone worthwhile.
i have faith in theo to pull something off.

see, you got another...ohhhhh, 50 years until you really go crazy...or more crazy...whichever :)
and the law of probability states that at least once in those 50 years steinbrenner will drop dead and the yankee dominance will be over :)

:wave1: count me as one who thinks there is still a good chance we can pull this off!
Anyone remember the controversy a few years ago with Yankee Stadium??? Their own players couldn't see the ball coming at them because of the blue seats and behind the pitcher. Last night, if you watched Damon's eyes -- it was like he couldn't see the ball coming at him
I hope that's all this was. :hmm:

and you better share that lottery pot too!!!!
Speaking of lottery pots.....Back in November or December, I dont remember when, my brother went to Vegas, and he brought me back a souvenir, it was a sports betting ticket. He put down $20 for me for the Sox to go to the WS. FOCK!!! I lost the tickets. :loser: :duh: :crying2: I forgot what the odds were, but it was pre-Schilling trade. It would have been at least a few hundred dollars. :(
