I hear the Cubs made Nomar an offer but that he wants just a 1 year contract to prove he play a full season healthy. Sounds like his plan is if he is successful is to drive his price up. :hmm:

the cubs from what i hear are willing to offer a one year deal with a 2nd year option.

so the one year thing is on both sides.
