CHICAGO -- Need a little sunshine? How about planning for baseball in Arizona?
On Monday the Cubs announced their 32-game Spring Training schedule for the 2005 Cactus League season. Chicago's exhibition campaign will begin on March 3 against the Oakland Athletics and conclude with a pair of contests against the Seattle Mariners at Cashman Field in Las Vegas on April 1-2.
All games are scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m. MT unless otherwise noted.
Season tickets for HoHoKam Park in Mesa, Ariz., where the Cubs play their home games, will be available beginning on Jan. 4 at 9 a.m. MT (10 a.m. CT), and can be purchased by calling the HoHoKam ticket office at 480-964-4467.
Single-game tickets, scheduled to go on sale on Jan. 4, can be purchased by calling 800-905-3315 or visiting www.cubs.com. Additional information can also be found at www.cubs.com.
Chicago opens the 2005 regular season in Arizona as well. The Cubs play the Diamondbacks from April 4-6.
