View Full Version : Rios and Bush pick up some ROY votes

Even though Sidney Crosby was an almost unanamious choice, Alexis Rios didnt do to bad either. Picked up 3 second place votes, and three 3rd place votes. Pitcher Dave Bush picked up a 3rd place vote so I'm glad he didnt go unnoticed even if it was just 1. Thought I would post this since I dont expect any other Jays to get any votes in other awards lol.

It's nice to see the guys get a little recognition but ROY isn't the most prestigious award around, in my opinion. It's rare that a future superstar wins the thing.

True, I think if there rookie season is outstanding then they usually turn out big. Look at Pujols and Ichiro. I'm still waiting for Eric Hinske to turn it around.
Another thing though, is that this years AL rookie class wasnt that great, which is probably why Rios got some votes, he wouldnt of other years. The only player I think that got votes today that will turn out to be a better player then Rios is Zack Grienke IMO.

HAHAHA, Well it's true, well I guess he was the unanamious choice in the Q last year probably.
