Any time there are two legit candidates on one team, neither one of them will probably finish any higher than 3rd simpoly because they take votes from each other. I wouldnt really read too much intoi it.

In any case, who cares? Manny will be picking up his World Series ring next April. Manny 1, Sheff + Guerrero 0.

not only that, but take either one of the Red Sox out of the equation, and I think that the other one potentially even wins it. It is sort of like how a 3rd party candidate can steal an election for another candidate.
Just go with the fact that Manny and Ortiz combined were obviously the MVP. ;)

Manny had a lot more 2nd place votes than Sheff. Five butt guzzlers gave Sheffield 1st place votes which put him 2nd overall.

Sheff's career postseason BA is 40 points lower than his career regular season BA (.258 vs .298). :cool:
