Ummm, Jews general do not go to church, on birthdays or otherwise.


I'm not Orthodox, but to me, a birthday is just a birthday. Celebrated the same way "you people" do.

Well, some of the Jewish names on Addict Sports are Robin, Gary, Jodi.

There are a lot of traditional names from the Old Testament, but these days Jewish people will name their babies almost anything. Except strictly new testament names. You would be hard pressed to find Jewish people named James, Elizabeth, Anthony, Mary, Christine or Jesus, just to name a few.

Traditionally, Jewish people name their babies after a recently deceased relative. The English name may only begin with the first letter, but the Hebrew translation would be the same. Like I was named after Rebecca. We both have the Hebrew name of Rifka.
