Count Charlie Weis among the coaching candidates at Notre Dame.

The New England Patriots offensive coordinator interviewed with the Irish Friday.

The report is "nothing that we would comment on," Patriots spokesman Stacey James said.

Notre Dame is looking for a replacement for fired coach Tyrone Willingham. ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli also confirmed that Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Tom Clements, a former Notre Dame quarterback, will meet with Irish officials about the school's head coaching vacancy.

I don't see Weiss getting the N.D. job.

He will likely coach an NFL team though.

Notre Dame one of the best jobs in the country? Ten years ago, maybe. I really don't think they have quite the clout that they once did.

I wonder who replaces Weiss? Davidson or Scarneccia? I'm guessing Davidson. I know Bill's been dying to promote these guys.
