Curtis Martin and Jerome Bettis have the opportunity to go over 13,000 career yards rushing in the same game when Bettis and the Pittsburgh Steelers play Martin and the New York Jets in a big AFC matchup Sunday.

Both of them got it, and the Steelers won . . . pretty nice day far as I'm concerned.
Bettis did his best Superman impression in the second half, donning his cape and saving the day (along with our always dominant defense). He ran 10 times for 58 yards, and a score and THREW a TD pass (fer cryin' out loud).

I read that halfback pass all the way. At first I was screaming NO at the TV.... but then it all worked out. I remember his last two pass attempts. One was intercepted, and the other was a TD. What I am confused about though, is how his passer rating was only 147.3?? How much more perfect do you g et than one pass... for a TD?? I totally understand the passer rating formula, and I dont get it.
Did it seem to anyone else like Bettis REALLY did not want to leave that game yesterday with Martin still ahead of him?

Dude, didn't he do that about five years ago against the Jets in New York? I swear I remember him doing it.
Maybe it was against New Orleans..I forget.

Let's just all be thankful that Bettis' pass went over better than the whole Randy Moss debacle.

I remember the interception he threw like it was yesterday. In fact I mentioned it during the game after he threw the touchdown Sunday!
I would have liked to have seen Bettis pass Martin back up at least for one week, and it did seem like Jerome was thinking the same thing. Oh well. He's the big star this week anyhow. Ironic.
