I really don't like Hidalgo. Just never have. But we will see what he can do I guess.

He's a streaky hitter. If you can live with the streaks, he's a great guy to have on any club. I'm shocked though at the contract. I would have thought the Mets could have afforded THAT to resign him. Then again, I'm not too sure what the Mets are doing. :hmm:

Also Hildago's defense is wonderful. That gun of an arm, I did enjoy watching. I think it's a fabulous signing for Texas, relatively cheap and only for one year, just in case it doesn't work out.

And at 4.5 million, I consider that somewhat of a good deal... Although he had a low average last year, he had good power #'s for the Mets....

He should do pretty well in Texas' ballpark and in the AL...

He isn't great but not bad.

For that price he is a good pickup though.
