Feb 24, 2002 News: Texas Rangers outfielder Carl Everett is taking swings in a batting cage, but hasn't started running yet. Everett underwent arthroscopic surgery on December 28th to remove a small piece of cartilage from his right knee, but he still plans to be ready by Opening Day.
Views: He's also at least 15 pounds overweight and that's not going to come off if he can't start running soon. Does anyone else foresee a slow start for Carl? (Fanball.com)
