How important is it for the Cubs to sign Beltran?

I know I'd like to see him in a Cubs uniform, but at the price he's calling for it looks like we'll probably balk and the Evil Empire will end up with him. George "Deep Pockets" Steinbrenner is on the prowl.

So, how important is it to sign him, do you think?

honestly i wouldn't sign him for 20 million a year, especially not for 10 years!!!!
