Watching the ESPN Ticker, I saw Johnny Oates passing away. When I looked at it today, I was stunned and shocked. I was obviously sad too. I know he was in poor health in recent years and he went to the doctors for his health problems. With that said, it's sad to see him pass away at an early age of 58 and also on Christmas Eve.
That's too bad. He was a great manager and a very classy human being. He was well-liked and respected by his baseball peers.
This is a loss to the baseball community.
