So, the Red Sox got Rentaria, the Cards got Eckstein, and the Angels got Cabrerra. All free agents, yet this would never have gone through as a trade... so who got the best deal?

I would say Renteria is the best of the three, but that Eckstein maybe has the most gas left. What do you think - who got the best deal?

I think all three teams got good SS.

If I have to choose which team has the best SS in this poll, I would say Renteria.

Boston, Anaheim, and then St. Louis would be the order I think.

I think Boston got a great SS but I think that Anaheim got the best "deal". :D

i was actually sorry to see cabrerra go - he was a quality guy, and i think he will be missed. however, that being said, yea - rentaria is probably a better player, and younger too (i think)

and younger too (i think)
Wow, for some reason I always thought Renteria was in his early 30's and Cabrera was in his late '20s, but i looked it up and Renteria is about a year younger then him. So it's not by much but this just makes it a little bit better of a deal for Boston.
