Indians close on Millwood

Indians GM Mark Shapiro confirmed that he has made Kevin Millwood an offer.
It's believed to be one year with an option. "But we've made numerous offers to numerous people, so the making of an offer doesn't necessarily mean anything," said Shapiro. Millwood is expected to sign with the Indians if he passes the physical he's due to take today.

He'd get 7 Million a year.

Well, did he ever sign? Was it a done deal? I never saw anything definite.

Nothing yet, I hear the Indians want a one year deal for 7-8 mil and Millwood's afgent wants more years and money. I'm not holding my breath the way this offseason's gone for the Tribe.

The Tribe might end up with Millwood as ST gets closer and closer. I noticed that there are a few players not signed, waiting for more money and yet... end up signing last minute. He might do the one year deal and then try again next season. THAT'S what he should do, if he wants more money.

I hope so, if he can approach his form with the Braves he would be a bargain for the one year and give stability to an erratic rotaion.
