Bochy has been known for not using speed or basically not playing little ball to win ballgames. Now with the recent additions of Dave Roberts and Eric Young, two known speedsters, will he change his tune? Do you want to see more of a running game rather than the strategy Bochy has been employing?

I would like to think so. They did not acquire Dave Roberts for nothing.

Young has been regressing in SB's lately as he is now like 37 so I dont know how much he has in the tank...
Roberts is an absolute SPEED DEMON!!! Somehow Bochy, even though not a big fan of small ball has to utilize his speed....

James, I know what you mean about Young, but I think he has the smarts to steal when he should. Bochy has given all his players the green light all the time, letting them make the decision on their own. And I think Young will be smart about his steals.
Roberts, :jump: I am so thrilled, I just can't tell you. I was literally salivating at Roberts joining the Pads. His defense, his base running techniques, a HUGE step up from Double Play Jay.
I think we might see more of Greene, Burroughs and MLo running too as Roberts will create not only opportunities but will change the mindset of opposing teams' approach to playing the Pads. No matter how you feel about the Pads, they are going to be one fun team to watch this season!
