addicts HOF?

i know its random, but i say we should have an addicts hall of fame...every year we can nominate some people, and depending upon amount of posts, quality of posts, and time the person's been there, we should elect people into it :)

Sounds like a fun idea to me...

Whoever wants to get it started by all means do so... I would suggest having some sor of minimum requirements rule like so many years year here and minimum post count... Set the standards somewhat high as it should not be too easy to enter the Addicts HOF.
Maybe 2 or 3 years as a member and 8000 or so posts... Just #'s off the top of my head..

I can even set up a special forum for it to show all the members as they enter the shrine:D

We can do it every January since it is a dead time for the most part in baseball...

I say three years, 10,000 posts, and a 75% vote by the moderators. :) That way, you can not get in just be being a post whore, you can not get in just by being here a long time, and you have to be a positive contributor in the minds of the people that runs this place.

Also, I say you have an induction every six months for people that qualify.

Well there are only a handfull of posters that would qualify so I would basically put all nominees in a poll and leave for voting...

We just have to think of a % of all voters that vote that would be elected...

So basically I set up a poll, allow multiple votes and nominees that recieve the % of votes we decide on, make it....

It will show the # of voters in the poll even if you make multiple selections....

yeah, i just thought of that myself...wouldnt be much to nominate :)

so just the moderators vote? they could be like the election commitee...but that kinda leaves everyone else out of the loop...i dont want to make this too complicated, but we could have 2 seperate polls and count em together or something...with the mods' votes counting for more? i dunno...maybe just the mods voting is a good idea...they run the place :)

I also like Bab's suggestions...3 years, 10k posts, and 75% of the vote...thats pretty exclusive

Sounds great everyone. I think I may be one that has the time in but falls off the ballot due to mediocre numbers during my playing days. I now have asperations to post more and make the Hall one day.

I am happy for the most part with the way the voting went especially for the 1st year... Had a few kinks to work out but anyone that was voted in would have been a good choice IMO so we couldnt go wrong....

The only change at this point that I am going to make is I am going to lower the voting % to 70%.. I've made my mind up on that one... May change it again or modify in another way but for now all is the same except we will lower the voting to 70%.. 75% is too high and maybe 70% is even too high but just by meeting the standard qualifications of the post count and length of time here at the site, pretty much all candidates are worthy....
