Carlos Beltran to Mets?

What impact will he have on the Mets?

Between him and Pedro I honestly see the Mets as a contender.. They have good pitching and a pretty good 1-7 with:
Reyes
Matsui
Beltran
Piazza
Floyd
Cameron
Wright

Maybe we can even get lucky and get the Jason Phillips from 2002 back instead of the one from 2003;)

Getting Cairo was also another very good signing for the Mets which will help with depth..

I like the Mets, and I don't know why, maybe it's because they're always underdoggin' it? I just wish they hadn't taken the Yanks approach of overpaying for people, they really screwed up this years free agent market.

I'll admit they got a good hitter and pitcher, but I still don't see them as a contender

he'll bat around .270 again, maybe have an OBP of around .350-.370 and have about 25-30 homers. maybe 35 SB
