Mags has interest in the Cubs?

The Chicago Tribune reports that free agent outfielder Magglio Ordonez has sent his medical records to three teams but hinted he would be most interested in signing with the Cubs..

sign him to an incentive laden contract!!! If healthy, he would be a better addition to the cubs than beltran would have been.

With Sammy going to the mets for Floyd (negotiations will be starting in earnest later in the week), expect magglio to get some good run from the cubs.

And magglio is definitely interested in the cubs as it is home to him not to mention it would get back at the sox since he is PISSED beyond belief at how the sox treated him near the end.

if sammy is traded? yes. (if he isnt traded, itd still be a possibility, just not as strong) and it would depend on the health. Its no secret that Hendry likes Maggs, but he is also seriously concerned about the knee. If his fears are allieved, then expect him on the northside.

hendry has no problem dealing with boras. so that shouldnt be a problem unless he is being less than honest about giving the medical records.
