I have a Mark Mcgwire Authentic Bat Card and want to know how much it prices for. It's an Upper Deck card and is number 13 out of 50. Any help is appreciated.

Probably not very much. Any baseball card manufactured since about 1986 or thereabouts holds little to no value because of mass production.

Well, since there are only 50 cards of this kind made I don't think it was mass produced. Also it has a piece of bat used my Mark Mcgwire so that tells me it's worth a good bit. I just don't know how much.

there were more than 50 of that card made. The 13/50 means that the mark mcgwire card was #13... out of 50 different players.
The bat doesn't make much difference at all, because there have been cards with pieces of bats being made for years.

I just priced it at beckett.com. It's worth $150.00 dollars!

Wow! That's a pretty good chunk of coin. How much did you pay for it?
Reason I ask is this: You know what would be really cool, no pun intended? If you could sell it for $150, subtract your initial investment, and donate the rest to one of the many tsunami relief efforts.

That is correct. Because of mass production value has really gone down but there are exceptions like this where they are valuable. Sadly, they don't last all that long so I would try to sell it sooner, rather than later.

That's an excellent idea, Willie!
It's definitely worth a protein shake!
So this dude, joined Addicts, asked how much something is worth, then looked it up himself?? This dude is either:
a) Bored
or
b) Too lazy to look it up himself in the first place

Hey guys, I was just trying to save some money since I just wanted to find out the price of one card. You have to pay in order to get info off of Beckett and I thought I would try the forums to get some help.

There really isn't anything wrong with what you did, IMO. Gathering information from other fans is part of what these forums are for.
But there was something wrong with the last line you posted, so I deleted it. Too personal for someone with only 5 posts.
Don't let this experience sour you on Addicts. We're serious baseball people, as well as serious lunatics, so feel free to stick around and get to know us. :)

Had you been more patient, I could've whipped out my Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards once I found this thread. . . .
