Almost 20% of your budget on a single player?!?! Someone please try to make me believe a team that does this has any chance of winning.

Unless you are in a league where you can get everyday players in the endgame for $1 I dont see how this can ever work.

Only in very specific circumstances could I see it working.In a very deep, single league, keeper situation, when you have a very good set of keepers very cheap and expect to be in contention for winning it all, then it might work to your advantage to spend big on 1 stud to take you over the top.That way, your total value in your lineup will still be there, just apportioned a bit differently than usual! Yes, I can see it in those narrow situations, but not as a rule.;)
