These are the salaries of players from 1985-2004...

They are in order by largest salary in any 1 season which belongs to Manny Ramirez last season all the way down to Dave Silvestri who made 10,900 in 1993:)

You knew I would ask questions, didn't ya? :D

I wonder why Carlos Delgado's salary was more in 2002 than it was in 2003? Did he getting a paycut? But then the salary went above both for 2004.

Why does Jeter's salary jump 3mil plus from '03 to '04 but other "star" players salaries jump only 1 mil? Although Manny's jump from '02 to '03 was HUGE! :yikes: His salary jump was a little under 5 mil!

It's not like these players are rookies or youngins who sign their first FA contract where a big jump is expected. Example would be Kerry Wood made a huge jump but in '99 he was at .69Mil but in '02 he was already at 3.6mil and then jumped to 6.9mil and then last season made 8mil. Makes sense for him.

Just some thoughts/questions at quick glance. :D

The yearly contract just plays out over the course of the length of the contract... It just depends on how the club breaks it down per season...
