I picked out my kitty today!!!

He is orange and white and I named him Mr. Higgins! :D I love him :love: He is 2 years old, had all his shots, neutred and declawed and only cost me 100 bucks! He is sooo friendly and loveable. The guys at the rescued kitty nursery said he was shy and scared with everyone else who looked at him but he was very loving with me :)

Shawn, even if you get a cat for free .. you still have to pay to give it the proper shots, declawing, etc. I think that's what she was referring to ..

here in Pennsylvania, if you ge a cat from a shelter, you dont have to pay for any of that. It comes included with the adoption of a cat.

cats are usually much more expensive here than the 100 I paid... they try to recover the cost of all the food, shots, vet bills etc

Here it is like $40 and the neutering and updated shots are included... $100 sounds pricey but if the declawing is included then it works out the same...

Or maybe Canadian cats are just cooler:cool: than American cats;)

Nan, he was already declawed but I would have had it done anyway. Mr. Higgins is going to be an indoor cat, I don't believe in letting cats outside. Thats why they get fleas etc. Plus we live on a busy street I don't want to be Mr. Higginsless. :)
