Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart has announced that he will stay at USC for his senior season.
Leinart has led the Trojans to back-to-back National Championships and is 25-1 in his 2 seasons as USCs QB.He threw for 3,322 yards and 33 TDs this season,and was picked off 6 times.
He ranks 4th on USCs all-time passing list with 6,878 yards,and ranks 2nd behind his predeccessor Carson Palmer with 71 TDs in 26 games.Palmer threw 72 TDs in his career.
Leinart's only loss came in a 34-31 triple overtime loss at California on September 27,2003 in his 4th start.He was 21-for-39 for 277 yards in that game,but was picked 3 times.The Trojans have since won thier last 22 games,the l;ongest current winning streak in the nation.
With Leinart coming back for 2005,and with virtually the same group coming back,the Trojans figure to be #1 on most,if not all College Football pre-season polls.
