Well, my kitty is home safe and sound :) He was very scared coming out of the cage and going into the box... even in the house. He explored around for about 45 minutes and then decided to come and find me. Either he likes me, or he's a smart cat and knows that he is mine. He follows me everywhere and everytime I try to sit down he's all over my lap. Right now he's resting at the foot of my bed. He seems to like it here and I am glad that he feels comfortable. The poor thing was abused, which is how I came to get him. Y'all know me, big ol softie with too big a heart, as soon as I saw him I could tell he was abused and decided he was the one I wanted. He still has some wounds that need to heal, but the lady at the shelter said they should heal on thier own without any more medicine, he's already had several treatments. So, I'm just happy that I could bring him home to a safe and comfortable environment. I will post pictures as soon as I get them, I don't want to frighten him with the flash while he's still getting comfortable.

Awwwwwww......... KITTY!!

Good for you for giving him a safe, comfortable home. Very cool that he came to find you and wanted to sit in your lap. He obviously feels safe with you.

I love it when people give abused animals a safe place to live their lives.

:cheer:

Can't wait to see pics!

Cool thing, Jen!

But one question: when your kitty finally feels closer to you, and you to him, will you then switch to calling him by his first name or will you always be formal and call him "Mr."?

:D

Thanks guys :) He's very loveable so far, but doesn't really seem to want to play much.. I guess I should give him a few days to get a little more used to things

That is kind of the story behind one of my dogs. She was abused and Jen watch out..... Soon they will think they rule the house...

My dog is quenn and she knows it!!!!! :D

But I to love those stories!!!!

At least I heard one good animal story today...... My families favorite horse was found dead yesterday... :( And it wasnt a good one also....

Aww, sorry to hear about your horse, Shad.

My friend's sister has a dog that had been abused. She is just the sweetest thing there is! She is so greatful to anyone that really pays attention to her. Typical of abused pets, from what I hear.

Yes, Jen, soon he will be in charge!
