The Marlins met with free agent 1B Carlos Delgado for 5 or 6 hours yesterday. There reportedly was already a 3 year, $35 million offer on the table, from the team. Meanwhile, according to the Baltimore Post, while the Orioles have reportedly made a 3 year, $30 million offer, their source says it's just $25 million.

The Marlins have delivered their final contract offer to free agent first baseman Carlos Delgado. The Miami Herald reported that the team has offered a four-year, $50 million deal. "The Marlins are in prime position right now," an industry source told the Herald. "I think he's going to be a Marlin."
