It is coooooold out. It's 28 degrees and only a light wind, but it feels so much colder than that. Just bringing some laundry baskets in from the car got my cheeks pink and icy. Brrrrrrr. :ugh:

Minnesota and Wisconson and Chicago and Wyoming are supposed to have subzero temperatures all winter long. New York is not. And besides, I said that it felt a lot colder than what the thermometers were saying.
So I continue to stand by my original statement: brrrrrrrrrrr!!

I went to mass this evening and it was awful. Good thing I brought gloves. This week is going to be bad. Fortunately, I am off at work all week.

I just heard it going to be: 10 tomorrow in NYC with the real feel temp. being between 0 and -10.
Darn fickle, wishy-washy crazy winter, one day it's 68 and a few days later its 10!

you're in the northern hemisphere. so you have to be somewhat used to it. :)
28 is only 6 degrees below normal for you guys. ;)
and chicago usually only has one or two subzero days a year. so i have to call a BS on that one. :)

Now we're talkin'!
:D
It is supposed to be cold here in MN, but the last few days have been quite a bit colder than normal. We went 86 hours straight and never made it above zero - (temp. not wild chill.)
This morning the whole norhtern part of the state was outrageous. Embarrass, way up north, had an actual temp. MINUS 54 degrees below zero. -40's were the norm.
According to records, this is the coldest stretch of continous below zero temps in over a decade.
On the other hand, anything below what you are used to is going to feel darn cold, so I can well imagine how you're feeling.

It is chilly out there Robin, wait until tonight. It's gonna drop to 5. We were long over due though... it was like 70 last week.

Actually, it's advisable to wear some sort of under garments this time of year to protect them. ;)

I just ventured out into Aberdeen for a walk, but was forced back by the biting cold wind. :(
I hate winter.
