WOOHOOOO!!!! BLIZZARD!!!
:jump: :cheer:
It looks pretty cool from the 23rd floor in Midtown Manhattan!!! Right now I can barely see the buildings across the way on Sixth Ave.
I just came in from outside. The store was mobbed!!! People stocking up, I guess. Usually I call the local weather people alarmists....... (sorry, BP :D )...... but I think they're right with this one.
Can't wait to see Central Park afterwards!!!
Cyn, that's a cool idea - getting a sled! Wheee!!! :jump:
(I guess I can be this excited because I don't have a car and don't have to deal with driving in it, or shovelling driveways and sidewalks. :D )

well, it FINALLY ended. at 3pm, 20 hours after it started.
though we may still get some off of the lake.

It started lightly here about 12:30, and the intensity has been increasing steadily since then. Every weatherman I heard was predicting 2-3 inches an hour after 7 pm or so, with total accumulations of 14-24 inches. Every single one said the same thing, within an inch or hour of each other.
I live off a dead end street. Of course that's an absolute priority of the county. :hmm: Then it sometimes takes 2 days or so for my super to get the plow truck in to do our parking lot. So it's highly likely I won't be shovelled out for a while. And Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are my month end rush at work. Oh well. :D

There's a reason why every weatherman said just about the same thing. All of those media folks just repeat what the National Weather Service puts out pretty much. :)

I am so happy inside and that is where I'm staying.
4 years of the white stuff in Oswego was enough for me....
I swear I was destined to live in California,Florida, someplace warm and snowless.
Give me sunshine and warmth and blue skies. :sun:

Have an awesome time, Cyn!! Just don't forget your three hats, earmuffs, six scarves, nine shirts, and four pairs of socks! Be careful out there and stay warm.
There's a reason why every weatherman said just about the same thing. All of those media folks just repeat what the National Weather Service puts out pretty much. :)
Thanks for the technical explanation!

Runners are nuts..... yes, indeed. :D They're now saying that the main blizzard is going to hit in the middle of the night. And the snow will probably end early afternoon. So, when I get back from church, I might go for a run.
:D
Have fun sledding! (And running!)
