Hmm interesting. Yet for some reason I really don't care...

Damn Marilins should have a nice line up with Lowel, Conine, Delgado, Castillo, Carbera, and Pierrer

Score one for a small market team. :thumbsup:

Definitely a good addition to that lineup, but it seems a little steep. :eek:

Short term result: a big plus for the Marlin lineup.

Long term result: financially handcuffed for other moves and impending relocation to Vegas. Not that the 5,000 fans who show up for games will miss them.

Carlos signed with the Marlins instead of the Mets because he wasn't interested in playing in front of big spotlight not to mention he wasn't interested in dealing with the scrutiny with the NY media. I read a piece by Michael Kay (Yankees announcer and sports talkie for ESPN Radio) in his column on the YES Network website about how he prefers being in the low light and how he prefers living a private lifestyle which is one of the reasons why he never wanted to join to a contender.

Mets fans had to see this coming. I wasn't shocked by it.

Yes, but the Mets apparently got involved in the negotiations late Monday night. Whatever it is, Carlos was never going to be a Met one way or another.

Best of luck to both Carlos and to the Marlins...he provided so many great baseball moments for the Jays up here over the years, and will be sorely missed by a lot of us Jays fans.

I hope you guys make it to the playoffs, and expect the extra run or two a game he will provide you, will take a little bit of pressure off your bullpen.
Up here we were too short of other talent for those runs to really help, most of his years here.

regards;
Mike

Interesting, After the season he had last year that is a Big risk but one that can have a big reward.
