Feb. 3 - Alexander, eligible for free agency this offseason, told the Tampa Tribune he'd be interested in joining the Buccaneers if he can't work out a new deal to remain in Seattle. "It's definitely an idea for me to think about," he told the paper, "... but we've still got some negotiating to do with the Seahawks."

At the same time, Alexander also expressed interest in playing for coach Nick Saban with the Dolphins, telling the Palm Beach Post that coaching, environment, geography and money would factor into his decision.

Earlier this week Alexander told ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli he wants to stay in Seattle but the uncertain status of the Seahawks' front office could prompt him to look elsewhere. The Seahawks have 16 players who could become unrestricted free agents in March.

So is it safe to say we won't see the Seahawks in the playoffs for a while?

It seems to me like the Dolphins/Bucs are secondary options if he can't get the money he wants from Seattle...

I think the Dolphins gotta deal Surtain for some offensive linemen if they want a RB to make them a big difference..

The Surtain is interseting from a Vikings fan. The Vikings have RB's and O-line men to trade and need to get a good CB or SS and some other help that the Fins have with the D. I could see the Phins and Vikings making a trade IF the Vikings get sold here quick.
