So what you want about Terrell Owens, but he played like a champ yesterday. He had MAJOR surgery on that ankle. He had to be in some serious pain playing on that thing. I thought he'd be a non-factor, but the Eagles would not have made it such a close game if T.O. didn't play.
I am not the biggest T.O. fan in the world, but I certainly have to respect his effort yesterday.

Yep. He may be a loud mouth, but he is all about team.
He was outstanding yesterday. He took a pounding from our secondary and still made such a huge impact. I say the Eagles are going to the SB again next year.

If none in the NFC does anything to get better then yes the Eagles will be back...
But it is tough to say with FA in the NFL the way it is now. Tough to say some other team might load up for Bear or I guess I should say Eagles and shoot them down....

I concur with the TO sentiments. Don't quite understand why people don't like him however, well except a few folks in Baltimore and Dallas.
Truly a heroic performance.
Feel sorry for Eagle fans today, the Pats should have been had last night. They didn't tackle real well, were uncharacteristically penalized and turned the ball over in the Red zone. The only difference was that Brady protected the ball, and McNabb made some real mental errors throwing prayer tosses putting an end to drives that should have ended with at least 3 points. IMO, the Pats for most of the game played nowhere near their usual level of consistency, scary, they still won.

the reason a lot of people dont like the guy is not because of his abilities on the field, but what he does on and off the field after he uses those abilities. If he would just shut up a lot more people would enjoy watching him play.

He also compared his situation to that of Brett Favre, who's famous for playing through injuries. "They would have called him a warrior," Owens said, then shrugged, adding he had long become resigned to many observers labeling his stance as selfish.

I can't agree with that more.

I guess it is just a double standard, some people are prasied for running thier mouth and being boastful. Hell, some people refuse to serve their country, join racist groups, convert to some bull$%(# Islamic runoff religion, change their mothers' given name, and then are praised and honored enough to light the torch at the Olympics.
Maybe TO will get an honor like that one day, but maybe he should be less of a model citizen to get that honor. Marion Barry is in office and Martha Stewart is in jail. God bless America!

ok, lets not get political about this, ok? there is no reason. We are talking strictly football here. I'm glad you are all patriotic, but...this has nothing to do with Terrel Owens needing some duct tape over his mouth.
just for the record...what people are you talking about whom are praised for running their mouthes off and being boastful?

Ok there are those who dont like how T.O. disrespected the game by cussing out coachs and such. There are those who dont like how he blamed the 9ers when his agent was to dumb to read the contract and not get him to be a FA... There are those who dont like how he came out and called old teammates names and stuff like that. There are those who dont like how he dictated who he was traded to and then when he got trade to that team cryed and wanted to go to a diffenet team... There are those who dont like how he makes fun of other players when he makes a 5 yard catch and just want him to do his job...
There are those who love how he plays the game. There are those who love how tough he is. There are those who love what he does on the field. How he makes the team better.
There are many arguments for both sides. This was a thread for T.O. and giving him props on the job he did on coming back and not just getting out there to get out there but to get out there and be the star player he is...
