Based on the events past and may i stress events past.....i suggest that we look at the following for consideration:
COMMISSIONER: IDENTIFIED AND CONFIRMED ASAP
RULES OR LEAGUE GUIDELINES: ROSTER SIZE, DL SPOTS ETC (NEW THREAD) POSTED ASAP
1a) to clarify in or out by midnight saturday march 2nd (seperate thread)
b) trade deadline at Midnight this Monday March 4rd (this would mean resolution of the trades of concern these would have to be resolve by say midnight saturday march 2 or reversed) remember these are suggestions
2. keeper lists due midnight Tuesday March 5th (start new keeper thread)
3a) draft to start friday march 8th 8 am (seperate thread for each rd)
b) round one draft thread, rd 2 etc (each having its own thread)showing the order of selection including changes (those picks traded)
c) post your selection when its your pick post to that corresponding round thread
d)everyone subscribe to this thread so u get email notification of the picks........please also send an email to the next team to draft after u as a courtesy
e)12 hour time limit per pick.....your 12 hours starts with the time stamp of the team who selects before u
f) this to continue until we agree to a date and time for all to be available to do this
4. poll results year to date summarize in one poll results thread
5. rules and changes to rules to be posted and past by midnight say next thursday march 7th
yours thoughts
LETS PLAY BALL
that someone came up and said something.
The time suggestions seem a bit sudden but still it works for me. Of course I'm sure there will be replies saying "come on, we should wait a little while and think about this" blah blah etc...
but I would be very dissapointed if we can't settle on something very soon. If I see many people just sitting around and disagreeing, accusing, insulting and ultimatley forgetting that we are trying to make progress rather than win arguments (sound familiar???) than I will seriously consider leaving this league.
However if we can take some time and set a draft date and the other things I would be glad to be an active participant as this league rolls on through it's second year.
I realize that the above is just a few suggestions but all of times would be fine for me... however I am probably the one with the most adaptable time schedule in the league so it would be other people's words that matter more.
Please do not just read this, add in your opinion. I will look over this thread some more and reply again with some suggestions...

a 12 hour time limit for picks would never ever work. There just simply isn't enough time left between now and opening day. The draft really has to be done all at one time... in an AIM chat room or something of that sort. I know that me presonally, I will be beginning about 50 hours of work a week beginning next week. I may not even be HOME for certain 20 hour periods, let alone a 12 hour period.
COMMISSIONER: IDENTIFIED AND CONFIRMED ASAP
I'll look to gather all the related posts and link to them in a second...
1a) to clarify in or out by midnight saturday march 2nd (seperate thread)
In or out? You mean Nate right? If you do I could gather those things as well
b) trade deadline at Midnight this Monday March 4th
2. keeper lists due midnight Tuesday March 5th
3a) draft to start friday march 8th 8 am
5. rules and changes to rules to be posted and past by midnight say next thursday march 7th
Again, I must say it's other opinions that would matter here more than mine...
Basically in what you've said..
1. (In or out) If by "in or out" you mean Nate then I can just gather the thread links together and we can close that issue once and for all... but that is if others feel it hasn't already been finished (I thought it was)
2. (State your keepers) we could just use Nates original thread on that. I'll bring it to the top.
3. (Organize draft) We just need the time and the best process. I could show up for any time after 7:00 est, so it depends on you guys. Draft I agree that we should do through the theads.
4. (Gather poll results) Can do... in fact will do shortly.
5. (Changes to rules) I think we just need one specific thread with the "constitution" or something. It could be posted by the commish (whomever it may be) and the original rules will be edited/changed/deleted based on replies and opinions. My idea

It is extremely difficult to find a time when all 20 owners can get together for a draft... Thats why I believe going about a slow method like this is the closest thing we will find for everyone being able to be involved. A 12 hour time limit for a pick does not mean its going to take 12 hours for each pick. Many of the owners is this league I notice are online quite often during the day and im sure we can get a round done a day or atleast close to that. With the number of keepers we are allowed, we will need approximately 18 rounds to be completed, with many of the later rounds having less teams then the original 20 depending on their number of keepers. I'm sure we would be able to finish by April 1 if we start on the suggested March 8th date.

my point is though that not everyone CAN check in here during the day time. I work in retail sales. Our busy season is beginning now, along with the fact that I kust got a promotion. That means, like I said that there may be many times within the next month that I won't even be here. How am I supposed to draft players if I am not here?

bball practice
have all transactions on a spread sheet
later 8 30
If it should be a lengthy slow draft, then it will hvae to be started soon and we can slowly finish the draft.. hopefully in time. Would that work?

Yeah no more waiting, the only way we are going to be able to draft is a slow draft....there is no way 20 of us will be online all at the same time...I personally don't get off work til 10:30 at night, on a good night, and I know some of the owners are inconvienced by that so A draft here by round is best...Come on we did this last year for a mock draft and it got done in a short time, key is emailing the person after you when you pick, if you can't be around in that 12 hr limit give someone else a list of 10 or so players for them to draft from for you, just taking the 1st off the list provided.........
Secondly a commish needs to be decided, I know I offered to do it, unless smelly still wants to do it but I get the feeling he is no longer interested in holding that title.......
Only team dropped out so far is James, but Supposedly I haven't personally talked to him, Mooseheads wants in the league and his team has already been given away, alas James' team becomes his team, Aight with everybody??
I am going to be sending out an Email to everybody (Jacobs and Maple Leafs included) to get them here this weekend so we can get all the keepers declared, this needs to be done by everyone by Monday so hopefully we can get the draft started Tuesday or Monday night......
All this good?????
I think between Seahawk and Amag (aka Mr. Organized ;) ) we can get this thing rolling and I am looking to help in any way possible......

To address that: People have replied to usc's post "Resolve..." saying if they are or aren't in the league... so if we want to confirm a solid list of who will be making thier efforts to contribute to this then say "in" or "out" at his post...

Brian (Trots) also quit. It was in one of the polls. So now there are two teams to fill and we have 3 weeks until Spring Training. We need to get this moving.
The slow draft would be the best way to go. If we can get this moving by Monday or Tuesday, we'll be able to get done by March 31.

Fish is out. James might still be in. I am working on it.

I'm in and will be online during the weekdays, sporadic nights & weekends, but often enough to keep a draft moving.
People could also advance their picks to the owner that picks AFTER them, or to the commish to keep "sealed" until their time. Not optimal, but will keep things moving.
If we lose more owners... the following may have interest (and are active participants in the mock auction)
thepiper4 (has expressed interest already)
fullabull
twc48
I don't think BaumThreat would be interested, since our league involves no money :-)

Well KingFish, James and Trots are all officially out.
I've talked to all of them and they're done with the league.
So we have to replace the owner ASAP... meaning today. I personally like the deadlines set and think we should keep to them.
Does anyone know how I can get a hold of piper, bull and twc? Or have they already talked to them... e-mail will do, but AIM is prefered for quickest contact.
I'll send an e-mail to everyone still in the league about setting their keepers for the up and coming draft. The vote says the trade stands... so my vote is for an immediate roster freeze for the slow live draft... hopefully we can all get together and get through several rounds next weekend, but if not the we should ahve plenty of time to complete the draft.
