The Devil Rays signed outfielder Tom Goodwin to a minor league contract on Tuesday and invited him to spring training.
Views
Goodwin will compete with several other invitees and prospects (Joey Gathright, Marty Cordova, Chris Singleton, Dee Brown, and Brian Buchanan) for a roster spot in the Rays' outfield this spring. He's a one category player (stolen bases) who will see little playing time, so he does not warrant serious fantasy consideration even in AL-only leagues.
