The #4 ranked Boston College eagles suffered thier first loss of the season as they fell 68-65 to Notre Dame at South Bend tonight. The loss snaps BCs 21-game winning streak.

Colin Falls had 23 for the Irish, while Chris Thomas chipped in with 19 points for Notre Dame(14-6,6-4 in the Big East).

The Irish held a 62-54 lead with 4:06 remaining until BC(21-1,9-1) closed the gap to 62-59.That would be as close as they got.

Falls was 7-for-12 from the 3-point arc in the game tonight.

It was NDs first win over a Top 10 team since defeating Connecticut on February 9,2004.The Huskies were ranked #5 at the time, and went on to win the NCAA title.

This was also the 3rd time that Notre Dame has knocked off a team that was at least 20-0 at the Joyce Center. They defeated San Francisco(29-0) in 1977,and DePaul(25-0) in 1980.

Agreed JA..

ND is vastly underrated...

I won $20 on this game because 2 weeks before this game took place I called this as BC's 1st loss of the season and they proved me correct:thumbsup:

My friend and I also called the Nova upset over BC.. Nova is another one of those underrated teams IMO...
