The Devil Rays have reached an agreement with left-hander Mark Hendrickson for 2005. Hendrickson showed some signs of improvement last season, namely cutting down on home runs allowed, but he will have to win a spot at the back of the Tampa Bay rotation this season.

In AL-only leagues, you may consider Hendrickson as an option, but over the past few seasons, his inconsistency has been detrimental to fantasy rosters. He may have won ten games in 2004, but his 4.81 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and an Amy Acuff-like 4.2 strikeouts per nine innings are reasons enough to pass on him in 2005.
